Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Darjeeling Universal Campus was established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The IQAC functions as the nodal body for all quality-related initiatives at DUC, ensuring that the institution continuously improves its academic and administrative processes.
The IQAC at DUC is committed to developing a quality culture within the institution by promoting research, innovation, and best practices in teacher education. It coordinates the preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and facilitates academic audits, peer reviews, and stakeholder feedback mechanisms.
Objectives of IQAC
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalisation of quality culture and institutionalisation of best practices.
- To act as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
- To develop and apply quality benchmarks and parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- To ensure timely, efficient, and progressive performance in academic, administrative, and financial tasks.
IQAC Composition
The IQAC is constituted as per NAAC guidelines and includes the Principal as Chairperson, senior faculty members, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.

Accreditation & Recognition
DUC maintains all statutory recognitions and affiliations required for the conduct of the B.Ed. programme.
NCTE Recognition
RecognisedDarjeeling Universal Campus is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Eastern Regional Committee, for the conduct of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme with an approved intake of 100 students per academic year. The institution maintains full compliance with all NCTE norms and standards.
BSAEU Affiliation
AffiliatedDUC is affiliated to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU) for the B.Ed. programme. The affiliation is renewed annually in accordance with BSAEU regulations. All academic programmes, examinations, and degree awards are governed by BSAEU statutes.
NAAC Status
Preparation in ProgressDarjeeling Universal Campus is in the process of preparing for NAAC accreditation. The IQAC is actively working towards meeting all NAAC criteria and preparing the Self-Study Report (SSR) for submission.
Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR)
The IQAC prepares and submits the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC each year. The AQAR documents the quality initiatives undertaken by the institution during the academic year.

Mandatory Disclosure
As required by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Darjeeling Universal Campus publishes its Mandatory Disclosure containing all prescribed institutional information. The disclosure is updated annually and submitted to NCTE.
