Examination system, schedule, and guidelines for the B.Ed. programme

Assessment System

Examination System

The B.Ed. programme at DUC follows the examination system prescribed by the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU). Examinations are conducted at the end of each semester and comprise both internal (sessional) assessment and external (university) examinations. Students must fulfil the minimum attendance requirement of 80% to be eligible to appear in university examinations.

Internal / Sessional Assessment

DUC Conducted

Conducted by DUC each semester. Includes written tests, assignments, micro-teaching evaluation, lesson plan assessment, seminar presentations, and practicum activities.

University Examination (BSAEU)

BSAEU Conducted

End-semester written examinations conducted by the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU). Admit cards are issued through the BSAEU portal. Results are declared by BSAEU.

School Internship Evaluation

Joint Evaluation

Supervised teaching practice at partner schools in Semesters II and IV. Assessed jointly by DUC faculty supervisors and BSAEU external supervisors.

Dissertation / Action Research

Semester IV

In Semester IV, students undertake an action research project or dissertation under faculty supervision. Submitted and evaluated as part of the final assessment.

Attendance Requirement

A minimum of 80% attendance in theory classes and practicum sessions is mandatory to be eligible to appear in university examinations. Students falling below this threshold will not be permitted to sit for the BSAEU semester examinations.

Key Guidelines

Admit cards for BSAEU university examinations are issued by the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU). Students must collect their admit cards from the college office.

Students must carry their admit card and college identity card to all examination halls.

Use of unfair means during examinations is a serious offence and will be dealt with as per BSAEU regulations.

Internal assessment marks are submitted to BSAEU by DUC. Students may apply for re-checking of internal marks within the stipulated period.

Results are declared by BSAEU on the official BSAEU portal. DUC will display results on the college notice board.

Applications for re-checking or re-evaluation of university examination answer scripts must be submitted to BSAEU within the prescribed time and fee.
