Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the B.Ed. programme at DUC is governed by NCTE norms and the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU) regulations. All candidates must meet the academic qualifications below.

| Minimum Qualification | Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university |
| Minimum Marks — General / OBC | 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (Bachelor's or Master's) |
| Minimum Marks — SC / ST / PwD | 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (as per NCTE Regulations 2014) |
| Age Limit | No upper age limit as per NCTE norms |
| Reservation | As per Government of West Bengal reservation policy — SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, PwD categories |
| Domicile | West Bengal domicile preferred; open to all Indian nationals through BSAEU counselling |
| Intake Capacity | 100 seats per academic year (as sanctioned by NCTE) |
