Admission Process
Step-by-step guide to applying at DUC
How to Apply
Admission Process
Admission to the B.Ed. programme at Darjeeling Universal Campus follows a centralised online admission process conducted by Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University (BSAEU), followed by merit list preparation, counselling, and college allotment. The process outlined below reflects the typical BSAEU admission cycle for Self-Finance B.Ed. Colleges.
BSAEU Publishes the Admission Notification
The University announces the complete admission schedule including:
Student Creates APAAR / ABC ID
The applicant must obtain an APAAR ID (Academic Bank of Credits) as required by the University's admission process. BSAEU has incorporated APAAR ID creation into its admission procedures.
Student Applies Online Through the BSAEU Admission Portal
The student fills in the online application form with the following details:
Merit List is Prepared
Admission is primarily merit-based according to the University's prescribed criteria. BSAEU publishes the merit list, selected list, and waiting list for eligible candidates.
Counselling / Choice / Seat Allocation
Eligible candidates participate in the University's counselling process. BSAEU generally conducts multiple phases:
Student Pays Admission Fee
Once selected or allotted a seat, the candidate completes the prescribed admission and payment process within the stipulated period.
College Confirms Admission
The college confirms the student's admission with BSAEU after the student pays the tuition and other fees. The college then submits the required student and admission data to the University.
BSAEU Registration
After admission, the student's details are submitted for University registration. BSAEU subsequently issues the registration certificate and records for the session.
