ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR UG DEGREE & DIPLOMA COURSES

Admission to the B.Sc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (BHHA), B.Sc in Culinary Science (BCS), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), BBA in Hospital Management (BHM), Advance Diploma in Aviation , Hospitality & Tourism Management (ADAHTM) & Diploma in Aviation , Hospitality & Tourism Management (DAHTM) courses will be on :


1. Basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying Examination in 10+2 level and 10th level for DAHTM.

2. DUC also admit students based on the rank obtained in DUC Admission Test (DAT) and personal interview conducted by the college. Student qualifying CET conducted by the university is also eligible for admission.

Darjeeling Universal Campus follows the following admission procedure:

Online Registration

  • The Candidate may fill the Online Application Form and download prospectus as given on the website along with complete details by clicking on the “APPLY NOW” tab given on the website.
  • After filing the complete application form correctly on the ‘Submit’ icon- the candidate will be routed to the ‘ Payment Gateway’
  • The payment of Rs 1600/- for B.Ed can be made online by using your credit card/debit card/net banking of any bank.
  • On successful application, the system will generate a unique ID which will be candidate’s unique identification number throughout the admission process
  • An auto generated Email/SMS will be sent to the candidate’s email id/mobile number mentioning the candidate to upload the required documents.
  • Once the uploaded documents are verified and application is processed, the candidate shall be informed to pay the Admission Fee along with the University Application & Registration Fee.

The candidate can pay the application fee of Rs 600/-by Debit Card/Credit Card / Net Banking /E-wallet /cash or DD in the name of ‘Darjeeling Universal Campus’ payable at Darjeeling in the admissions office after filing the application form. The candidate will be provided with an application number at the time of registration.
Candidate need to carry their Original & Photocopies of education documents along with 6 passport size photographs and Aadhar Card for document verification and application processing. Once the application is processes the candidate shall be informed to pay the Admission Fee along with the University Application & Registration Fee.

If the candidate chooses to get admitted through SCHOLARSHIP CUM ADMISSION ONLINE TEST – DAT2020 (Online)

Scholarship Amount : Rs 1,00,000/- ( Rupees One Lakh Only)

Due to the COVID19 and Social Distancing we at DUC is offering the Option of appearing in Online DAT 2020Scholarship cum Admission Test from Home. The Interviews will also be conducted through Video Call from the comfort of your homes

DAT 2020 (Online) shall be conducted between 1st June 2020

Candidate have to fill up online application. Once Application is successfully submitted , candidate have to select his preferred time slot for DAT 2020. DAT2020 is conducted everyday between 30th June 2020

Nature of DAT 2020

DAT 2020 will be an objective type of test with multiple-choice answers. It will comprise of Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Awareness of Indian & Global Economy. There will be 40 questions to be answered in 60 minutes

DAT 2020 Test Instructions & Marking Scheme

Test Slot Booking -

  • DAT2020 will be in English and of multiple choice questions (MCQ type). The candidate must choose the right or closest to the right answer from among the choices given.
  • Marking Scheme: + 2 for every correct answer, 0 for every wrong answer, 0 for every un-attempted questions
  • On completion of the test & submission, the test score will be displayed simultaneously. The test score shall be sent through sms and email in the registered email and mobile number of the applicant.
Eligibility -

A pass in Class 12 examination or its equivalent with English as one of the Subjects. Those appearing in Class 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in DAT 2020 followed by & Personal Interview. Upper age limit : 22 years as on 1st July, 2020.

Merit List

Darjeeling Universal Campus follows admission procedure as per norms as laid by the affiliating university. The merit list of all the registered students who fulfils the minimum eligibility and above and have also paid the Admission Fee will be released as per affiliating university norms.

Call Letter

Based on the merit list, student shall be sent call letter through email and shall be asked to complete the admission formality by paying the yearly or semester fee along with the other charges as prescribed by the college. Student who does not complete admission formalities by the schedule date, their application shall be treated as cancel and Call Letter issued shall be null and void. The seat will be passed to the next waiting list candidate. Under no circumstances dates of admission will be extended.
